Kabhi-kabhi khud ki nazmein, khud hi padhti thi,
Kabhi-kabhi tasveeron mein kho jaati thi,
Aur kabhi-kabhi khud ko yaadon mein dhunda karti thi,

Vo yaadein ab dhundli si lagti hai,
Vo tasveerein, kisi aur zamane ki,
Vo nazmein ab kisi gair ki lagti hai,
Aur vo sawaal kuchh anjaane se.

To ab main sawaalon se bhaagti hun,
Apni nazmon ki raah taakti hun,
Tasveeron ko chhupa ke rakhti hun,
Aur yaadon ko bhulana jaanti hun.
