I fear people,
People who try and pull me down, people who are successful in replacing my smile with a frown.
I fear sadness,
Sadness that weighs heavy on my heart, sadness that shall surround which i knew right from the start.
I fear darkness,
Darkness that scares my soul, darkness that leaves me with no place to go.
I fear promises,
Promises which are made but not kept, promises which take my all and ensure that nothing is left.
I fear my feelings,
Feelings which make me set my expectation high, feelings which leaves me with all the reasons to stop trying!

The gushing winds with droplets of water have the potential to heal a soul or fill happiness thereafter.
These rains remind me of my childhood days, when I had no one to hold me guilty or show me my place.
It was all about innocence and a lively heart which only longed for love right from the start.
Those handmade paper boats that sailed in the water used to put a big smile on my face,
Although I knew they will never come back but that was meant to be their fate.
I wonder if I can trade all these years and have that childhood back, where everything in life seemed to be so much on track!

खोने के डर से उसे पाना भूल गए,

और जब साथ बिताए उन चंद लम्हो को याद किया तो हम वो गुज़रा हुआ ज़माना भी भूल गए!

आईने को खुद पर इतना गुरूर इसलिए है, क्यूंकि हर अनजान शख्स इसमें देख कर खुद- ब -खुद मुस्कुराता है,

वरना आज के ज़माने का क्या कहें यहाँ तो कोई अपना भी नज़रें मिलाने से घबराता है !

She might come across as the strongest of the lot here but if she has learnt to laugh, she has all the right to cry.
Her smile may spread cheers but her frowns too mean something,
She may lose her cool on some days but she certainly knows how to wink.
She is someone who doesn’t seek any validation, she has come this far on her own,
On the roads less travelled.... she walks around just seeking her soul!

जन्नत के वादे करके उसने हमसे हमारी ज़मीन ही छीन
ली,
नादानी कहें या मजबूरी का नाम दें जो उसने हमारी खुशियां उजाड़ कर हमारी झोली हर मुमकिन बद्दुआ से भर दी !

लफ़्ज़ों को महफ़िल में पेश किया तो वो खफा होकर चल दिए,
चिराग- ऐ- मोहब्बत को जलाया था हमने और वो बेख़ौफ़ उसे बुझा कर चल दिए!

एक मुददत के बाद जब उसको देखा तो कदमों का डगमगाना तो लाज़मी था,
जो बन चूका था किसी और की ज़िन्दगी का पहलू उसका हमें देख कर नज़रें चुराना तो लाज़मी था!
