Kaliyug as a guest ?— % &अगर रावण
कलियुग में लौट आए,
तो शायद वो चुपचाप देखे,
और बोले,
ना कोई राम है,
ना कोई युद्ध,
बस हर इंसान
अपने ही भीतर लड़ रहा है।

"मैं तो आया था
बुराई को फिर से जीने,
पर यहाँ तो
हर कोई पहले से expert है।"

He’d walk through crowded streets,
see people smiling with tired eyes,
scrolling through lives
they don’t live.

lit with neon and noise,
see people rushing,
scrolling,
posting,
and wonder.

He’d see kindness
wrapped in captions,
and anger
hidden behind emojis.

"मैं तो राक्षस था,"
वो कहेंगे,
"पर यहाँ तो लोग
बिना सीता के भी
अपनों को खो रहे हैं।"

watch a family eat together
but not speak,
phones glowing brighter than faces.

"मैंने अहंकार में लंका खो दी थी,
यहाँ लोग
अहंकार में रिश्ते खो रहे हैं।"

He’d walk past homes
where silence screams louder than words,
where forgiveness is rare,
and understanding rarer.

He’d see love
measured by likes,
not depth.

"मैंने युद्ध किया था,
यहाँ लोग
हर दिन लड़ते हैं,
पर कोई विजेता नहीं होता।
यहाँ तो हर दिन
मन का युद्ध चलता है।"

"मैं अहंकारी था,
पर यहाँ तो ego
success की सीढ़ी बन गया है।

watch two people
talk more to their phones
than each other,
and sigh.

He’d walk past a temple,
see people taking selfies
with folded hands,
and sigh,
"अब तो श्रद्धा भी
angle पे depend करती है।"

He’d walk past boardrooms,
see egos taller than Lanka’s towers,
and chuckle,
"मैंने तो बस सीता का हरण किया था,
ये लोग तो ethics का कर रहे हैं।"

पर यहाँ तो हर इंसान
कभी राम है,
कभी रावण,
बस role बदलते रहते हैं।"

मेरे दस सिर थे,
पर यहाँ तो हर इंसान
हर emotion के लिए
एक नया चेहरा पहनता है।
मैं तो myth था,
ये लोग तो daily episode हैं।"

"मैं तो जलता हूँ हर साल,
पर यहाँ तो लोग,
हर दिन जलते हैं,
अंदर ही अंदर।"

And on Dussehra,
he’d watch his effigy burn,
100ft tall,
with cheers and fireworks,
and whisper.

"तुम मुझे जलाते हो,
पर जो मैं देख रहा हूँ,
वो तो मुझसे भी ज़्यादा
रावण बन चुका है।"
