This Puja might have not even started so widely if Goddess Laxmi would have not received puja offerings from a lower caste person. The entire Laxmi Purana is about equality among people, against of caste system , respecting women But still there are some so called social activitists who don't believe in equality.

All of us are doing this Laxmi Puja from the bottom of our heart but very few of us has understood it's message .
