She's a masterpiece of anomalous traits
the more you gaze at her
the less you seem to understand her
One minute she's warm and affectionate the next moment she's distant and cold
For her life is a journey of uncertainty because
unlike you who was conceived in love
as a result of a passionate sexual climax
she was conceived during a rape incident
an outcome of pain, tears, struggle and hurt
she has been scarred from conception
Err'day society plaques her with subtle reminder of new victims
And like a hedgehog many times
she has hurt both Friends and Foe
all in a bit to feel safe and survive the turbulence that comes with humanity.

I stood strong so well guarded
but then just a look from you
and time freezed
all I could hear was the sound of my cracking knee bones

The closet can't accommodate them anymore

My eyes has always been fixed on unseen realities
My heart guarded against this and that
Can we all just stop with the self righteousness charade
and be sincere with
the younger ones in faith that
things which are seen can become deceptively attractive
that our faith also need the yeast of God's word to rise
that our prayers sometimes are just mumble jumble
Our passion get so cold that we persistently fan to flame and that like Peter we begin to sink in self doubt and word doubt
But then again standing on the solid rock of Christ and knowing that though we fall
We fall and rise in him
"In God we trust"

Motherhood is like an oasis in the desert
burdened with providing for others
who never worry how it get its own provision
Motherhood is a valley of sacrifice
full of body aches, sleepless nights, exhaustion and stretch marks,
the list can go on
I really can't wrap my head around
the theory
"The Joy of Motherhood"
cause all I see is Sacrifices and Selflessness.

Are you okay they ask
I respond as quickly as I can
so that they won't notice
the bags beneath my eyes
the uncertainty in my voice
I walk away fast
so they won't notice
my quavering steps
my aching soul
my anxiously clenched hands
my over bitten nails
I wish I could tell them
I'm really not okay and that
a tight hug will do
it certainly will encourage
me to keep fighting and healing

We got healed of things we couldn't discuss
Scars we thought will last forever faded
Memories we reminisce over vanished overnight
Soaked our pillows with tears
woke up the next day with swollen eyes
and lied about it
Pain became a joke
Friends turned out to be foes
Family turned their back to us
We've screamed at the storms, cried in the rain and danced up the hill
All this when we thought we weren't strong enough
Now we look the devil in the face and say "Satan throw your best shot"
Even though we seem all alone with no one to talk to, trust me that's not true because we've got the best backing.
