And so it comes to an end,
Like all good things.
But this was not one of them.
It was all in my head,
and my heart,
And my mind
and my body...
It hurts to wake up.
It hurts to sleep too.
Regrets do that.
Some things are not meant to be had.
Some folks are not meant to have.
Let it go. All of it.
And this time, learn.

I see you...
Fighting battles
You didn't choose.
Blooming where
you weren't planted.
Your beauty comes
from your strength,
From depths
no one can fathom.
But you.

You.are.magic.

Like a cloud, I long to be free.
But I am bound by the shapes I take
And I am shaped by all I see.

Sometimes I am heavy,
Most days I am weightless.
I stay afloat regardless.

Of my Kintsugi
Are you the potter
Or my gold?

Peaces of Me

The blue of the sea,
Your favourite shirt,
Or the balloon in her little hand.

The wagging tails,
The smell of pine,
The black coffee next to the book.

The inspiration for my poems,
And the reader in Dilli,

Are forever peaces of me.

She waves at the sea
And the sea waves back.
Like two old friends
they now become.

I see you
But do you see me?

I lie awake in my darkness
Secretly hoping that
You won't be able to sleep too
And reach out for me
In the dark of your night.
That you, like me,
Wonder about the What if's...
Or has Peace found
A comfortable pillow
And settled in, all snuggled up?

I don't remember
If your eyes lit up
Or your lips frowned
Or you picked the blue
And not the red.
I only remember
How your voice
Breathed warmth
Into my soul
Spreading like honey
On warm toast.
