Nurtured softly, when they're new.
With love, care and compassion's rain,
They're watered, easing every pain.

From nursery's haven, they must go,
To face the actual world's harsh show.
Toxic patterns, habits, shed,
For stronger growth, they forge ahead.

In ideal ways, they serve us all,
But cut down if they stand too tall.
If grown too straight, unable to bend,
Their life, like timber, meets its end.

An old sweater, soft and worn,
Brings the warmth of years, of memories born.
Mom's fresh scent, grandma's gentle care,
Woven in each thread, a love beyond compare.

But yes, you won't get the memories of your dad or grandad,
No scent of pipe tobacco, or a hearty laugh, unclad
From fabric spun for softer hands, a different grace,
Their presence felt, but not within this tender place.

Healing the damaged part
in silence is too growth!

They pretend to care,
but inside,
they're waiting to devour you.

Don't chase what you want,
keep upgrading yourself
until what you want
starts chasing you!
