एक चिट्ठी में इतना क्या खास है
एक कागज का टुकड़ा ही तो है।।
माना कि चंद सफेद पन्नों पे
दिल के सारे जज्बात नहीं समाए।
माना की घड़ी घड़ी स्याही भरते भरते
बस यूं ही मेरा दिल भर आए।
शब्दो को समेट कर डाला मैंने लिफाफे में
फिर क्यों मैं रोई उसे गले से लगाए?
एक चिट्ठी में इतना क्या खास है
एक कागज का टुकड़ा ही तो है।।
जवाब की राह तकते तकते
कई महीने कई साल बीतते जाए।
तब भी क्यों मैं बैठी द्वार पे
हर रोज़ बूढ़े डाकिए की आस लगाए।
सोचू मैं: क्या बदल लिया उन्होंने अपना पता
या ये खत अब तक अनजान गलियों में गुमनाम हुआ जाए?
एक चिट्ठी में इतना क्या खास है
एक कागज का टुकड़ा ही तो है।।

You came into my life as a faint wind, softly touching my face and swirling in my hair. I took a deep breath closing my eyes to feel you. I hoped you to blow away in a while. But when I opened my eyes, you were still there.

And even now you are here. Your eyes seems promising. Promising of staying with me till my last breath.

Here I close my eyes again to feel you. And here you are. Thank you for choosing to stay. I thought you were just a silly wind but lo, you prevailed like oxygen.

Im lonely

After talking for hours

selling symbols altogether
A series of question mark
scramble things with a doubt ?
And the commas of uncle ,
with comma shape
mustachioed face
sat on braces of roads { }
And the inverted commas
of the bureaucrats‘’
Trained down in
the brackets of class [ ]
The slashes of policemen
created gaps of peace /
People rushed to create
more of punctuations
resulting in a full-stop
with the market closure.
