Seeing a beauty like you,
I wanted to meet,
I wanted to greet,
but the dream broke and I fell
Landing on my feet!

On the dark lonely roads of life
I picked up the lantern to find you,
But you would be the light
And brighten my life,
That I never knew!

I held up a lantern to reveal
The real you
But you remained a shadow
Upon the cold paving stones,
Scuffed by heels
And impervious to the lights.

As I walked down the way
All I saw was your shining eyes,
I walked down the aisle
And held your arms,
It was at that moment I realized
That you were mine,
And so was your light.

After walking all away
Through the darkest sorrows
I ended up standing
Near 1 lantern on the way.

Stood and stared
Into the light of lantern.
Felt like someone is
showering some love and care.

But denied with smirk,
Ignored temporary love.
Because she knew,
It will deeply hurt.

I was logging

And when i was ready to finally fly,
You cut my cage,
You said you helped me,
But you disabled my wings,
You freed me from the traps,
But you it impossible for me to fly,
You compelled me to depend on you,
While I wanted to soar in the sky,
So yes you did free me,
But you captured me like a butterfly.
