It's the day of 'Arafah.
The greatest day Allaah ever chosed and defined.
The luckiest day for the people of knowledge and erudition.
The day of leave from work and occupation and sticking to corners and rooms for worship.
A day of obedience entailing remembrance, prayer and fasting to be compensated with repentance, emancipation and forgiveness.
Goodness and Beatitude be for whoever is granted the good of this day and distance from blessings be for whoever is denied.

إنه يوم عرفة.
أعظم يوم اختاره الله و عرَّفه.
أحظى يوم عند أهل العلم و المعرفة.
يوم الكف عن المهنة و الحرفة و لزوم الزاوية و الغرفة.
يوم الطاعات من ذكر و صلاة و صيام تُقَابِلها التوبة و العتق و الغفران.
طوبى لمن مُنِحَه و بعدا لمن حُرِمَه.

This is the month of Dhul Hijjah already amidst us. It's named after the legal Hajj taking place therein. Hajj (Holy Pilgrimage) is dispatching to Allaah, visitation to Him and approaching Him. Let's make all our devotions in this month a (figurative) pilgrimage whereby we dispatch those devotions to our Lord, visit and approach Him with it. He will (hopefully) accept it and reward us for it. Then, He will host us as guests are hosted in the best way.

هذا شهر ذي الحجة قد دخل علينا. سمي بذلك للحج المشروع الواقع فيه. و الحج وفد إلى الله و زيارته و قدوم عليه. فلتكن عباداتنا كلها هذا الشهر حجا نفد بها إلى ربنا و نزوره بها و نقدم بها عليه. يتقبلها الله منا و يشكرنا عليه ثم يقرينا قرى المرء ضيفه و يكرم قرىنا.

اعتنوا أولا بحفظ فنون الأدب و متون اللغة قبل دراسة تأريخهما و قواعدهما فإن الأوَّلَيْنِ روح و الآخريْن جسدها. و لا الجسد تَحْيا دون الروح و لا هي سابق الروح.

إن الأولاد فواكه عذبة و جواهر نضرة نشرهن الله في الكون. فاستكثروا الله من فواكهه و جواهره و طيبوهم و اغتنموا فضائلهم لئلا يضيعوا فنحرم بركاتهم.

Children are sweet fruits and beautiful pearls of Allaah scattered across the globe. Let's seek Allaah for more of these fruits and pearls, purify them and maximize their benefits lest they're wasted and we're deprived of their blessings.

Blessed Childrens' Day

Ignorance kills. But compounded ignorance firstly maims then slaughters.

Retain the acts of worship you are already used to in Ramadaan. It is a sign of acceptance of your Ramadaan and an act of gratitude to Allaah that you maintain those acts after Ramadaan whereas it's also a sign of misacceptance and ingratitude to Allaah that you leave those acts after Ramadaan.

بسم الله
أدبر رمضان
إن رمضان قد أدبرت قبلته و أفلت نجمه و غابت شمسه. و لو أطقنا لتمنينا نهارات العام كله صياما و لياليه كله قياما. فماذا بعد؛ أما بعد، فعلى نحو خطبة أبي بكر يوم وفاة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يعظ بها الناس؛ من كان يعبد رمضان فإنه قد انقضى أجله و أفلت نجمه و من كان يعبد الله فإن الله حي قيوم لا انقضاء له و لا أفول.
