The bubble gum
inside my mouth
has lost all its flavours
but I don't want to
spit it on the mellow road
of yellow.
I exercise my mouth
by gnawing it like a cow
but the sweet tang
had already melted like
the snow.
I chew-chew-and-chew
bite-bite-and-bite to break it
into parts, gulp it like
river currents, but
it gets elongated to build
a bridge over it.
Like memories, they never break,
the more I chew,
the more it reminisces.
Memories thrive when it gets stuck
on my teeth but
when it gets stuck to others',
it becomes a 'waste'.
