कर्म आपको अपने लिए करना होता जिसके परिणाम आपको सही समय पर व आपकी उम्मीदों के अनुकूल मिलते हैं। (यदि कर्म सही दिशा में व शुद्ध मन से हुआ)
और
कर्त्तव्य आपको किसी अन्य के प्रति करने होते हैं जिसके परिणाम सदैव आपको आपकी उम्मीदों के प्रतिकूल ही मिलते हैं।
