Life is the work of the Lord, and His work is the very substance of the world. As gold is to be cherished, so must we honor Him in all His greatness. With humility we seek to know Him more than life itself. To render the fullness of our joy unto Him is the highest sacrifice of man. We must cherish the time He granteth us, that we may be known in Him. Blessed be the gift of another Wednesday, fair as the throne of the Lord.

Once I was exalted by society, lifted high as though I were spotless and beyond reproach. But fame, though it seemed a crown, gave birth to hidden hatreds and bred deceit among those who praised me. For fame itself is not true worth, nor the rarest jewel of man. It is prized only because men honor the sound of it. Yet when that sound is silenced, the same man is cast away as if he were never worthy at all.

The time wherein we stand is no new thing, but a moment established from of old. The ground of our being is set upon Christ Jesus alone. From the beginning He regarded with love that which was His, and from the beginning His light entered into the depth of man’s soul. Many received that light with gladness and knew it in truth, yet not all; for some, hard of heart, turned themselves away and would not receive Him.

Verily, the Lord in His mercy hath added unto me the measure of another day, and I count it not lightly but treasure it with thankfulness. For the brightness of His countenance is marvelous, and His light pierceth unto the innermost parts of the soul of them that look upon Him with faith. And we know assuredly that it is He alone who covereth, sustaineth, and preserveth the life and essence of all our being.

Over 23 years of studying and only today I find out that the word "NEWSPAPER" is the abbreviation for NORTH, EAST, WEST, SOUTH, PAST AND PRESENT EVENTS REPORT. I honestly want all my school fees back.

Here dawneth another day: some are present, yet know it not;
others are here, yet reckon not the cause of their being.
Many walk the earth unmindful, and few there be who perceive their place,
yet the uncertainty of life doth cause them to muse as though they were not here at all.
For life is not assured as it seemeth it should be.

Can I tread the next mile save I commune with my Creator?
Can I yet smile as once I dreamed of the morrow?
Dare I hope for the best, when the life I once cherished is no more?
I cannot imagine it as it was, nor as it ought to be,
for it is neither what should be, nor what is.-
Broken am I, and hushed in the night,
the grievous weight of life hath pressed me hard against its walls.
My mind, now spent, refuseth counsel or thought.
I walk in the shadow where once I hoped for surety,
yet now that hope is fled, and life’s course lieth uncertain before me.-
It is not that our will is broken, nor that we are void of the true sense of our worth. But pride and arrogance rise as a mist upon the mind, and in their shadow, peace and soundness of thought do slip away.
