The bottle of your
memories keeps
me caged...
I feel lost, suffocated
and just too sad
What appears on the
surface is anything
but true...
Flowers of happy
exterior facade are
just an excuse...

But, of course,
as always
you have no clue!

living with the thought that
you don't care anymore
hurts more than your absence

It gives me
a sense of satisfaction,
a feeling of contentment
after a long deprive,
that I can open my flesh &
present my heart to you,
in a way that
you would never know

-

The tunnel seems
to get longer every night
I have walked miles,
with my heart captive
and my thoughts wild
to think I reached at its end
I am yet to see the light
Perhaps because
you have gone now
taking all of it with you
All I can see is
shadows around
Isn't love supposed
to make you free
Why does it feels
like trumpet pitchers
Pretty, vibrant, wild,
a trap nonetheless...

There's this thing about rains
It knows perfectly well
when to cool and
when to ignite burnt hearts
It knows how
to be sensuous
and how to be glum
It knows how to set free
and how to consume
It makes me crave for you
with longing to get drenched,
body, heart and soul,
in rains, in your arms...
It makes me wish for
all my emotions to pour
and flow down the drain
just like rains...

In process of mending,
I have been broken down
to pieces, bit by bit
Like an eraser,
trying to rectify mistakes,
losing own existence in process
I wish you get to know
how it feels
to have your heart broken &
to have known only hurt,
All in the name of what...
Some non-existent love!

The love that makes you you
is perhaps the same one
that breaks you too
and after a while
when everything changes
one thing remains certain
you will never be the same
as you used to be at the start
Ah! the price of young mistakes
must always be paid in the end,
try and save what's left
of you, besides a troubled heart...

The day I saw you first,
I thought you were so perfect
The day I saw you last,
I realized you weren't
I knew then, no one is
We are all flawed
I think, one day when I look back,
I will laugh at all this
but, until then, I will cry

to unscrew the old, unsettled,
bottled expressions and
spill around, messy emotions.
At the same time it is
best way to
converse with the
most conflicted, most introverted
& most secluded thoughts
layered underneath the surface
that from the top, shows
the most serene charades.

Crossed your path after a thousand days
I should have quietly slipped away

but hey! guess what,
let's give you a shout out, decides the heart

not gonna see you ever again, so what!
lets just hang out,

you & I, and our story,
when we meet again in my poetry tonight
