FAREWELL
The moment I step on the piece of land,
Unknown looks to me from the point I stand.
Crying bitterly unable am I to grasp,
Swollen eyes, red cheeks as bitten by wasp.
Surrounded by people unknown and strange,
Inside the school that seems me a dreadful cage.
From morning to evening I study and learn,
The things which are out of my concern.
The people encircling seem to me enimies,
With whom I have now beautiful memories.
They are my friends and my dear teachers,
Descended from heavens as my preachers.
Like parents my teachers guide and teach me;
Infuse in me the knowledge of things I can't see.
Enjoy with friends the every bit of my life,
Either moments of merry-making or strife.
Today I recall all those moments of heavenly bliss,
Shared with friends and teachers I'm going to miss.
Salfia Muslim Institute, I pray to the Eternal Lord,
May you always shine is the wish of your ward!
