Why are they hidden?
Most requisite things
Hidden away from ones
Who cherish them the most,
Like gold and diamonds,
Like you from me,
Like my feelings
That are hidden inside these words.

It’s so strange,
The pain due to
Your slow fading,
The happiness to Know
That you’ve gotten
Into a better realm,
Yet it’s so strange
To have these jumbled feelings,
But what’s important
And what really matters
Is that I’ll miss you.

The sudden shiver all across my body
As you were trudging towards me,
Though I suppress it with a smile
And walk along
Cherishing back the memories
And adding another one,
As I realized in the end
That I was so into you
That that memory
Had no place nor time,
Just you and me
In an endless void of space-time,
It was then that I realized
How much i needed you.

As I look into your eyes,
The iris, out of wonder,
Opening up like clouds
And a light that ricochets,
Though I try to see
If you have unravelled,
The eyelids that shut me out
Leaving me in confusion,
Until I go down
Where your smile confirms.

As that sound hit my ears,
Like million butterflies flitting
In front of my eyes,
Like an ecstasy
That can pull my lips into a smile,
It’s the sound
That made my heart forget a beat,
Indeed it was her heavenly voice.

It was her persistence of love
Towards beautiful flowers
That drew her towards the lily
That he embossed for her,
She was so mesmerised by its charm
That she couldn’t see the love
In the scars on his hand.

From the dark as I try to see,
The leaves that carry words,
Distracting with their vividness,

Through them as I try to see,
The lightning that’s filled with rage,
Trying to push me off with a bolt,

Through them as I try to see,
The clouds that still hesitate,
Struggling to open up,

Through them as I try to see,
The moon that shines,
Smiling so bright like you used to.

By wiping the blurry eyes,
When he looked,
Like him, a raindrop
Alone and ruined,
But uniting with other droplets
As it’s drifting down
In it’s journey,
By when it has reached the end,
His tears and storm
Stopped in peace.

Walking down between
The broken pieces of my heart,
Each lane between the pieces
Leading to despair,
Until, when I reached the end,
I realised no anguish was able
To stop my journey
From reaching the core of my heart.

“Look at that star.”

“Hmm.. I havent spotted a star in recent past..it actually is like a star emerging out to be noticed amidst the dark!”

“You’re talking about the star...right?”

Staring into the eyes, sighed.
