I saw you for the last time today,  
I wish i could have
held your hand;
when you’re slipping away
and now my eyes sting,  
as much as my broken heart.

Beyond all this grief,
I find sombre reflection
and quiet relief;

Amidst the candlelight and laughter
Along the smiles and cheers thereafter

A sound is bled, wrung free from strings
It bounds and treads and wholly sings
Inside each song, a secret’s moved
Not right nor wrong or frequent proved
The message dances from bow to ear;
A coded trance of love and fear
From left to right the story rings
Of death and light the quartet brings
The covert tale engulfs the room
It vibrates truth to those who loom
The quartet knows for why they played
Their secret lost, both gone and stayed

Music lies and cries thereafter

Carpe Diem

My aching limbs and heavy sighs,
as morning light hurts my weary eyes
and every movement feels like a chore,
as time slows from the weight of it all.

Although every step may feel like lead,
and thoughts of rest fill my weary head;
I'm determined to try anyway,
with a will to rise and seize the day.

New Year

As December's stars fade into the night,
The old year slips away, worn but wise,
Taking with it lessons held tight,
Each triumph, tear, and life's surprise.

We bid farewell with knowing grace
To the months that shaped us, day by day,
Taking strength from every trace
Of wisdom earned along the way.

Though defeats linger, we release
The weight of what we cannot change,
And turn, with hope's sweet increase,
Toward the New Year and a bright new age.

Life is of Motion
Even water itself is healthiest with movement
But Stillness
will always be necessary for reflection

Don't look down,

Center of aimless progress
and innovation's mindless hub.
Instead, turn your gaze
and your thoughts to the infinite.
When you feel lost,
just look up.
Often I wonder,
Is it just me?
Or is gazing at stars
A glimpse of eternity?

Silence comes in
many shades,
for good or for worse.
Sometimes the soul can take
solace in silence and
sometimes it can drown in it.
Other times we cannot tell the difference,
and we are left to decipher our soul
and what shade of silence
it chose today.
