কয়েক পাতা পড়ার পরই,
হঠাৎ গল্প হারালো খেই।

শব্দ খসলে ব্যথা বাড়বে আবার,
তাই বন্ধ থাকুক বই।
In the numbness of the dark hour,
I'm getting used to this pain.

আকাশ চিরে যে কয়েকফোঁটা,
মাটি না ছুঁয়ে, ছুঁয়ে গেল আমার ঠোঁট।
সত্যি বল তাদের কোন মূল্যে,
কিনেছিলে তুমি?
দূর সাগরের যে ঝোড় হাওয়া,
ছুটে এসে আমার চুলে,
লেপে গেছিল তোমার ওম,
সত্যি বল তাদের দিয়েছিলে কোন যক্ষের ধন?
আকাশ জুড়ে যে মেঘেরা,
তারা ঢাকছে দিন রাত,
তারা সব রঙে,
কেন আঁকছে তোমার অবয়ব।
সত্যি বলো কোন মূল্যে,
করেছ অমূল্যকে দাস?
কেন তোমায় ছোঁয়ার আগেই,
আমার মনে তোমায় হারিয়ে ফেলার ত্রাস?

ছন্নছাড়া শব্দরা,
লুকিয়ে রেখেছে নামহীন কত কবির শব,
সবই দুঃখবিলাসের আস্কারা।
ব্যর্থ যত শব্দের দল,
বলতে পারছে কোথায় মনের কথা?
কত সাজানো শব্দছক,
দিনের শেষে তাইতো দিশাহারা।

রাত পেরিয়ে যায় নিদ্রাহীন,
বছর-মাস কাটছে দিন,
ভীষণ গোপন এক স্বেচ্ছাবসর,
শুধু দেওয়াল জানে সে খবর।

বদ্ধ ঘর, একলা কবিতা রুদ্ধশ্বাস,
সবই মিথ্যে ভালো থাকার আশ্বাস।।

স্বপ্ন গুলো এক পা এক পা
করে যাচ্ছে আরো দূরে।
আমি তখনও মন্ত্রমুগ্ধ হয়ে,
দেখছি কেমন করে ধস নামে।
না না, আমি এ ঝড় আটকাবো না,
বাঁধ দেবো না দুই পাড়ে,
বরং আরো কিছু ধ্বংস আনব,
শেষে নিজেই হারিয়ে দেবো নিজেকে।।

Another failure,
Knocking at the door.
I want to avoid it,
But I know I can't ignore.
I will promise to learn from it,
Then forget all.
I will keep repeating them,
Until my back hits the wall.
It will be too late,
Too late to stand up again.
I'll just be left with my poems,
To get used to the pain.

And run behind money.

A shoulder to cry,
I know isn't easy to find,
And one can't buy.

Loneliness has it's own peace,

That peace is a pure bliss.
