Mirror, Time and I

Ask the ones who cast the stone—
What fault was yours? You stood alone.
Stillness wasn’t your chosen fate,
Yet you were broken to demonstrate.

Sharp and fragile lie your shards,
Much like smiles that hide the scars.
In summer warmth, they love your grace,
In winter’s chill, they shun your face.

Am I comparing myself to you?
More alike than I ever knew.
A world within, I too conceal,
And wish, like time, to never feel.

पर दिल करता है

हंसी-मज़ाक के साथ साथ

इस बात से अब डरने लगा हूं

मुस्कुराता अच्छा लगता हूं
कैसे बताऊं ये मुखौटा पहनना
सीख सा गया हूं

कहते हैं लोग अक्सर
उसे भूल ही गया हूं
बिखर के जुड़ना
आखिर सीख ही गया हूं

कहते हैं लोग अक्सर
बदल सा गया हूं
दिखने में थोड़ा
संभल सा गया हूं

कुछ राज़ मेरे है
कुछ तुम्हारे होंगे
आओ एक दूसरे के राज़ की इज्ज़त करते है
जिंदगी में आगे बढ़ते है

पर सिर्फ तेरे होने के एहसास से इश्क...
