जिम्मेदारियां के बोझ ने दिया ढक दिया ऐसे कुछ इक तो शौक थे वो भी मुकम्मल न हुए

चंद सिक्के अपनी ख्वाहिशों के लिए रखे
अपनों की फ़ेहरिस्त में वो भी पूरे ना हुए

सिलसिला थमता ही नहीं हमारे सफ़र का
वक्त और पैसा रुकता नहीं और कसर क्या

बस उम्र ही बेलगाम सी बढ़ती जा ही रही है
और पूरा होने के इंतजार में आरज़ू सिमटती

हमारी ही तरह
बिखर गया

तेरी यादों को दफ्न कर सुकून से जीना था जब
कमबख्त अब उसी कब्र में अपना मफ़र ढूंढते है

अश्क बहते है फ़क़त, यूं चाहत नहीं है

धीरे-धीरे हमें तन्हाई रास आने लगी है!
भीड़ में थे हम अब तलक
अब रुसवाईया भी हमको भाने लगी है
परवाह अब सिमट गई
बेपरवाहियां भी यूं मुस्कुराने लगी हैं
अपनों में खुशी ढूंढ रहे थे
अंजान बन 'ज़ीस्त' भी मुंह छुपाने लगी है।

ना अब तेरी उम्मीद है
ना अब तेरी तलाश है

बिखरा है वो समेट लूं
बस इतनी ही आस है।
