What have you done for me?
A certainty in mundane uncertain lives
Questioned to kith and kin alike
Inevitably conditional relationships rive
What have you done for me albeit?
Sons to mothers ask tenaciously
Without a morsel of doubt
Determined minds clouded fallaciously
What have you done for me devout?
Friends to one another provoked seek
Inadvertently judging their actions
Yardsticks in moments of pique
What have you done for the faction?
An ungrateful spouse pays the price
Left with void and quiescence
His partner departs befitting the wise
What have you done for us - reminiscence?
If answers lack abundance and awe
Wrongs ought to be rectified by you
Ask not them about their flaws
Dauntless deeds define dearness due.

Faith and Fallacies
Drifting away from shielding wings
Far goes the unwary chick
Having lost warmth and love
From wings that turned cold and stiff
Tangled amidst multitude ways
Ahead she moves with trust
Sucked by a malicious maelstrom
Wilfully she drowns; wailing
Fathoming the depths of the whirlpool
Relentless she swims forward
Buoyant to see an aureate avenue
Promising a new lease of life
Triumphant turned her maneuvers
A glittery, golden and gilded gateway
With an aura of pleasantry shining
Gasped she at the promised sight
Like an autumn tree devoid of dressing
Love, lust and laughter faded away
Robbing the gateway of gold and glitter
Giving rise to ascending darkness
Aghast stood she; frozen with fear
A failing mission to the promised land
Faith prodded her to march on
Only to rediscover incessant recurrence
Determined to seek the hidden panacea
Questioning her choices in disbelief
Failed she to comprehend reality
Of gold turning black, white and silver
Silver; she finally did embrace
Seasons of black, white and grey
Turning her warm heart stone cold
Like the wings that once guarded her.
