थम सी गई थी ज़िंदगी, फिर किसी ने 'चाय' बोल दी
उलझे हुए ख्वाबों को जैसे कोई राह दिखा दी।

धूप सी तपती दोपहर में एक साया बन आई,
थके मन की वीरानी में एक हल्की मुस्कान लाई।

बातों की चुस्कियाँ, कुछ खामोश जज़्बात,
हर घूंट में छिपा था कोई भूला हुआ साथ।

वक़्त कुछ पल को ठहरा, दिल फिर से बहल गया,
सिरहाने बैठी तन्हाई भी जैसे खिलखिला गया।

थम सी गई थी ज़िंदगी… फिर किसी ने चाय बोल दी।
