रात में घर की छत से सुनाई देती है सबसे नज़दीकी रेलवे स्टेशन (सराय रोहिल्ला) से गुजरने वाली रैलगाडियों की आवाज़ें। ये आवाज़े सुन के मैं सोचता हूँ के कोई किसी से दूर जा रहा होगा, और कोई किसी के पास, कोई परीक्षा लिखने जा रहा होगा, कोई कमाई करने। और मुझे याद आता है मेरे घर से तुम्हारे घर तक का मेट्रो का सफर, मेट्रो के प्लेटफार्म पर पहुँच के तुम्हे बताना के, अब थोड़ी ही देर और बस।

और अब तुम्हारे जाने के बाद एक सन्नाटा है, जो रहता है किसी छोटे स्टेशन से आखिरी गाड़ी गुज़र जाने के बाद,
और उस घर में जहा अब कोई नहीं जाता।

The sounds of trains passing through the nearest railway station (Sarai Rohilla) can be heard from the roof of my house at night.
