A mother's love grows from her womb,
Till the day she meets her doom.
As they lay her in a shroud,
I wondered if I had made her proud.
She laboured and loved me, all my life
Now she lay limp, without a strife.
No drop of tear, can ease the pain
The loss of a mother, is never regained.-
Each one united, as we grieve
Each one healing, as we believe
Each one praying, for his dream
Bowed in sujood, to the Supreme.
I hold you close, with tears astream
In my plea for blessing, in dunya and deen.-
My dear daughter,
Be humble, be kind, be thankful, seldom whine.
Desire less, devote more, for his smile, every task endure.
Explore the world and travel every shore, but to welcome him, be at the door.
Be his calm, be his peace, in his agony, bring him ease.
Be his strength, stand by his side, accept his flaws, in him take pride.
Love his loved ones, like your own, with their blessings, adorn your home.
Dear son in law,
My daughter is not perfect nor is she flawed, shower her with love and she's easily awed.
There'll be days, when she'll be upset, don't you worry, don't you fret.
She must be due, with her monthly guest, buy her chocolate and give her some rest.
That twinkle in her eye, warms my heart, I long for her company, when we are apart.
We taunt, we argue, we quarrel, we shout, we hug eachother, and cry our gut out.
Now my bestfriend, loves you too, and it hurts me, to share her with you.
Love, respect and loyalty, is what I ask, for my daughter, till she breathes her last.-
a promise of bliss even through pain,
to endure without complain,
to love without a desire to obtain.
-
In every heart, in every form, where love resides, beauty is borne.
-
a dive into the deep sea,
Mysterious but with a promise of adventure.
-
Send her back, she forgot the lights,
ask her to apologize, she started the fight.
It's too early, wake her first,
stop troubling me, you're the worst.
I do all the work, I always have to slog,
she does nothing, just sleeps like a log.
You care for her, you love her more,
She is your favourite, she's the daughter you adore.
Two less to worry, two less to nag,
I wish time would linger, I wish it would lag.
Just a little longer, just some more
till a few more memories, I could gather to store.
The tantrums are gone and so has the charm,
our home is empty, quiet and calm.-
Across the worlds, the hypnotic rhythm, echoes and reigns,
as we begin the new year, chanting 'Ya Husain!!!'.
Let us weep off our sorrows, in the memory of his pain,
fill our hearts with compassion and be humane.
On the day of Ashara, as you lower your mane, I pray humbly to you, to remember my name.-
We bleed and bear
Menstruate and prepare
To provide you
With an heir.
