کسی نے بس اه بھری ہے تو کوئی انعام لیۓ بیٹھا ہے
غور کرو وقت سے کون کتنا کام لیۓ بیٹھا ہے

کتنا ناساز ہے یہ نظامِ دنیا بھی
کسی کو میّسر نہیں پانی تو کی جام لیۓ بیٹھا ہے

بس اتنی سی داستاں ہے اعتبار کی یہاں
کی جو ہر پل ساتھ تھا تیرے ، آج فقط اپنا نام لیۓ بیٹھا ہے

ایمانداری کا بھی ایک دور ہوا کرتا تھا
آج تو ہر کوئی گھر میں حرام لیے بیٹھا ہے

اتنا غور زمانے پہ يوں اچانک کیوں عینہ
ہائے! دیکھو آج میرا اشک قلم کو تھام لیے بیٹھا ہے

//An Animal caged in a zoo//


The sunset was the most gorgeous they'd have ever seen .
The clouds were edged with pink and gold .
His wish was to move out but he could only lean .
Looked like the cage telling him that his freedom was already sold .


Such a brave being and as pretty as ravine.
From his young age till he got old .
His life seemed like a flavourless caffeine .
"You are an animal caged in a zoo" he was always told.

Even the stars break away

وہ سحر تھی جیسے معجزہ کی طرح
اقبال کی ریختہ ، غالب کی غزلوں کی طرح

آفتاب کو گھیرے تھے بادل کچھ اس قدر
پریوں کے حُسن ، پھولوں کی نزاکت کی طرح

روایتی طور پر مور بھی کرنے لگے رقص
ہوا کے جھونکوں ، پانی کی لہروں کی طرح

ایسا نظارا کہیں اور میسّر ہی نہیں
بادل ڈھکے تھے آسمان کو پاسبان کی طرح

عینہ ! وہ بارش کا نظارا کیا تھا ، تُم سوچ نہیں سکتی
دل تو دهڑک رہا تھا دیوانوں کی طرح

We listen to the bullet sounds here and there ,
You call us terrorists, just because we don't fear ?

Killing the innocents won't take you so far
We will still never give up in any war

You make us burn alive , you make our blood shower
But Allah is with us , we don't need any other power

These gun sounds will change into birds chirping one day
That time "whole Palestine is free " the world will say

This time we are suffering , your time will come too
We are palistinians and we are not afraid of you
