અતીત પર વિશ્વાસ વધી જાય ત્યારે

તું સંદેહથી જોજે આપણા સંબંધ ને
હું હુંફથી સજાવીશ મારા વર્તમાન ને

તું ફરિયાદ કરજે સમય ન આપવાની
જે દિવસે તું બપોરે ઊંઘી ગઈ હો ત્યારે

ઉંમર કોઈ પૂછે જો આપણા સંબંધની
'બસ કાલે જ નક્કી કર્યું' કહી દેજે

બીતા બીતા વિતાવીશ આ જિંદગી
હું મારૂ બધું જ તને અર્પણ કરી દઈશ

હું ચૂપ થઈ જાઉં અચાનક તો
'શું વિચારો છો?' કહી ને બીવડાવજે મને

હું થાક્યો હોઈશ રાતે જ્યારે
'2 કલાક મને નથી આપી શકતા' એમ કહેજે ત્યારે

કોઈ વાત ન ગમી હોય, સંદિગ્ધની જેમ પૂછજે મને
પૂછવાનો હક્ક તને મારા અતીત થી મળી જશે

પ્રેમના સંબંધ ને સમય ના તારાજુ પર મુકજે
મૌન ને સમજવાનું પ્રયત્ન તું ક્યારે ન કરજે
