In my father's house,
the colour of greed is everywhere...

these weeds has infested my father's garden.
for my father has been guiled
by the music in vogue,
one whose reeking tune has grown to become the melody in my father's home-
to which everyone dances.
young and old alike.
man and woman alike.

in my father's house,
the colour of greed is everywhere.
its greenery shine on the seat of power,
and on Naira too.

(an endless spectacle...)
it is done.

who feels the giant pain of naivety that plagues us?
assumptions of edification that threatens us
into deceit of one another.
this dawn has broken us for an unknown sunset.

and as son sets...

we become dogmatic follies,
constantly evolving in a futile search for reasons to that, in-beyond.
and lifetime perishes,
for a dawn and sunset is not enough.

we seek reason... we find not.
we take solace in orthodoxies - blind convictions,
glimpses of confusion,
and this spectacle repeats
without end.
