गलियां ये पुरानी, लगती अब अनजान हैं
महकती ये रातें, जैसे झूठी शान हैं
भूलना चाहे कोई वो किस्से, तो कैसे भूले
धुआं तो धुआं, अब तो हवा भी एक ज़हरीला पान है !

वो कहते हैं कि तुम ढूंढ लेना एक नया अजनबी फिर से
जैसे दिल जौहरी से ज्यादा हीरे का कद्रदान है !

ना तलाशना मुझे दोबारा कभी,
तुम्हारे सिवा किसी में खोने की चाहत नहीं,
जो मिल जाएं आंखें कभी किसी हसीं से
देख लेना उन्हें भी एक नजर, आगे यूं ही बढ़ना नहीं !

तारीफें तो सुनी तुमने पहली भी बहुत होगी,
पर जब कोई याद दिलाए फिरसे इस अरसे की
चलते रहना, रुक जाना नहीं!
