Cometh June and I see some cheer.
April and May were full of doom.
It was a doctor’s period of gloom.
In front of my eyes, I saw my patients fall.
And I couldn’t save them all.

COVID was raining.
I had limited arms and ammunition.
Oxygen stocks were diminishing.
It was a war.
We were injured badly.
But from it’s shadows,
we are emerging.
Our enemy is shrewd and cunning.
Don’t let your guard down.
It’s waiting for a chink in your armour.
Don’t underestimate this little monster.
It’s a very dangerous enemy.
