जीवन की रफ्तार में
जब होती है दुर्घटनाएं
तो रह जाते हैं
क्षत विक्षत
नाम, स्मृतियां और
दर्द भरी खामोशी।-
When a woman is forced to stay
In Old Age Home
She retrospects her memories.
The happy days
Spent with family.
Hears the squealing of children
Endearments of husband
Buzzing of kitchen
Happy days of closeness, love and bonding.
Her mind travels back and forth
Suddenly realising
Past is a memory
A memory strong enough to keep her
Engaged
In service of others.
In communion with God.
And a gentle smile lingers on her lips.-
What happens when a woman loses her spouse?
She wallowes in her grief
Keeping a brave cheerful front;
Her beaming visage
Hides lacerated scars,
Experiencing aloneness
In an alien world.
Coming to terms with her
Burden of profound sorrow
She holds her head high
Lest her children
Don't sense her anguish
It's only in quietude she breaks down
As she has to face the world
With renewed vigour.-
To laze around
But can I stop writing?
I ponder!
Writing has seeped in so deeply in my system
Entrenched and rooted in
My speculative mind
Unable to wean it over.-
Happiness, a jumping jack
Leaps after beeps
Of Insecurites, anxieties,
Fears & heaps
Of expectations
To land on another
Spell of happiness.
The cycle goes on!-
Life replete with challenges
Pebbly or smooth route
For all to venture through
Who wins?
Not those who play blame game
But those who use ingenuity
To march ahead fully aware.-
Privilege of moon to shine alone
Despite the faint twinkling of stars
Privilege of a man to stroll alone at midnight
A lone woman can never dream of!-
Troubles galore
Labyrinthine lanes
Mazes multiple
Plodding the tiresome paths
Emerge out triumphant
In lighted avenues
Towards a divine door
For beatitude.-
-
Gratefulness.
Life a heirloom
To be cherished and preserved.
No complaints.-
