HOPE FROM THE GRAVE

I silently buried my hope...
not because he is dead...
but because he's too heavy...
a load I can scarcely bear...
a shroud I have come to fear..
He should die...certainly die
He's too alive.. too lively to live...

I have tried to shake him off...
like brushing away a wandering ant..
Yet he lingers...like sweet honey in a palm..
Wiped... yet he sticks.. yet he drips...

I buried my hope...
And yet I can feel his smile...
Oh please don't...! don't scorch my heart..
and this is weird... so weird... Why ?
Why do I feel my heart beat and thump...
like a giant waking up from slumber..
He mumbles...and stumbles..
rumbling like a distant thunder...
This is new.. is this hope? is this life?
reaching out from the filthy grave...
Oh dear.. hope has made me alive...
and now he lives in my resurrected soul..
Kindling my heart...basking by the fire...

Vociferous voices have compassion for the age old shadows...
drowning the meek and the voiceless...

The horrifying darkness pervaded the night sky
as the lone wolf let out it's blood curdling cry...

It's echoing cries were lamentations to the souls those were broken....
Whilst to some it was the victory shouts of the chosen..
To some it was for emotions of love and passions..
It was a mystery..an unfound secret..a magical potion...

To each their own...
Truth to none is known..

Indecipherable it is to the rookies..nor the words or the tune is known...
When most think it is to terrorise...or to lament about maladies...,
What if their howls were sonnets and melodies...?
What if they were paeans to the earth and its boons...?
What if they were singing about the beauty of the stars and moons!! ❤❤❤
