I once believed that friendship’s light
Would burn through time, unwavering, bright.
Yet I have watched those colours fade,
And felt close bonds drift into shade.

Some may argue, “It wasn’t true,
In friendship one can never feel blue”
But deep within, my spirit knows
How pure that friendship once arose.

Perhaps I fought alone to save
The ties we shared, the warmth we gave.
In the end, it seems I stood apart,
The only one with a stalwart heart.

This lesson taught me truths I feared:
That distance dims what once was near.
New faces crowd the space we keep,
And old bonds fade, though memories sleep.

I wish that people chose to stay;

I seek a bond that’s firm and whole,

Each new dawn spins fresh narratives bright,

I danced on the winds, an unbridled flight.

Yet dawn's enigma clandestinely stays,
