You rekindled my interest in writing, which I had pushed under the mat in the name of academics. You came like the oasis in the desert. You helped me learn and improve. When I look back at my intial writings to the recent ones, I realise how far I've come, and what a great role you played in that. You held me through it all.
When I was down, you became the support, giving me a warm hug assuring it will be okay. You held my words, soft, like that of pashmina wool. You became my confidant, in whom I could confide in, my highs and lows and everything in between.
It's disheartening to see that you won't be
there, but I'm forever grateful to the part
you've played in all our lives.

In the name of
giving each other space,
all we were looking for,
was distance.-
I love listening to people, building conversations, mostly if it's one to one or in smaller groups, not more than three four people. In larger groups I usually tend to withdraw, except if I know every single person in the group.
But on some days, I resign from it all. To not think of anything, anybody; no bond, no attachment. I enjoy lying down on the couch, for the whole day long, scrolling through my phone, watching videos.
With everyday hustle, on days like these,
I feel doing nothing gives me a
sense of achievement. Like they say,
'kabhi kabhi kuch na karna bhi bohot
kuch hota hai'.

At times, we focus so much
on the destination,
that we forget to appreciate
the path that led us there.
Sure, the journey is
as important as the destination.
But sometimes,
the journey IS the destination.

When I'm with you,
I am devoid of worry.
I feel free.
Your stories have always
left me in wonder
and have put
me into perspective.
Its been worthwhile
treading down your paths,
that have made me only better.-
As I walk down
these unknown roads,
I think of you.
I try not to,
but like the mountain breeze
you touch the surface
of my thoughts.
It leaves me with a
warm smile,
but I withdraw
fearing if I am
intruding too much,
like an annoying guest.
I wish I could sit beside,
and share stories about
all the castles I've built
in my head, to know
if they could turn into
palaces, or break down
into heaps of sand.-
And on days,
I question if I chose
the right road.
And if I did it
right letting my guard
completely down.
On days like these,
I wonder if I did it
right trusting the
process, the place
and the people.
Maybe that's how it is.
Not all days are good
like the mountain breeze,
sometimes it's like the
landslide.-
