In the midst of an engulfing abyss, she wished to see some light
Some bright unspoken ray, in the shadows of the night
A glade of moonshine, a stream of hope
A streak of joy, an end to all the mope.
An exalt to all the buried wishes, an exhaust to the steaming distresses,
What was it that she sought,yet couldn't find;
Unable to comprehend those fleeting thoughts in her mind.

Dormant days and dormant years,
In its cave blissfully unaware
Passing by like meteorites that skip
Planets and don't leave destruction in their wake.

Many a rock tried, many thought to use might
Through eons of the night, turbulence and fright
Yet as still as the deep abyss,
Winter, spring and summer, it lay through its slumber.

And one fine day as the blue moon shone
A streak of light, a shower of dust
Lo arrived the shining star, shooting through the skies,
The green monster finally awoke.

I write stories.
Sometimes. Many times.
Many created a life ago. Many yet to be.
Some great. Some not that. Some worse.
I write poetry.
Some with tinges of hope. Some with moroseness amidst the bantering abyss.

I wonder why I never complete those stories.

The rush, the fear, the thrill, the chase.
Pause, the glass it breaks.
Abound again, this time albeit slow.
A moment, a step, day by day.
It is but a feeling, a fickle storm
Looming inside, brimming on the edges.
Is it to last, is it to stay,
Who can but destiny, cause I know nay.

Cheers to that delirious liquid held between those fragile fingers in another evening spent contemplating of what was and what is to be as i drown myself yet again in moments long gone yet not forgotten.

To that ode raised yesteryears back when watching the sun set on a beach was not a ship sailed by and when momentous tranquility in the chaos felt calmer than this deafening silence.

To those memories created in random corners of the world when staring at infinity on top of a peak with strangers was less stranger than believing that tomorrow will a better present.

I lay awake to my frivolous mind,
An empty ocean, the fragments it scatters.
It beckons. It pleads. It wants to rewind,
But all I hear are the panes & its broken shatters.
There is no truth but what I behold,
There never was any steed in my wake, black or white.
That world, it’s in smithereens, it’s lost that foothold,
And fairy tales are for the fools, the lakes, the shores, the knight.

My heart, my path it leads astray,
And gone is that day, when I knew nay,
That folly of the mind, it is but that the heart says,
Where art thou’ looketh’? It all lies within,
All that one must muster, the strength, the will.
It is thyself, the end and the beginning,
There it is, the dark and the light.
It is wherein true power lies, and it is there that peace abides.

In all the incessant scrolling,
All the innumerable ramblings,
A random tell-tale,
And flash, it all comes flooding back;

Every unspoken sweet nothing,
Those random exchanges,
Time heals, fades into nothingness, or does it.

Another moment, another human,
Another open wound,
Another memory to forget,
Another era of waiting.

Butterflies in my stomach,
Feelings unfelt,
Goosebumps and merry things,
All enough to make my heart melt.
You have come into my life,
Like the calm in a storm
Yet turbulent enough to shake me off
From the mourning thoughts of dawn.

I cannot do this anymore.
Silence.

As if losing my identity wasn't enough already.

A spark in my garden of Eden,
Flickering slow, fast, bright, poof.
The life of my cellphone is not as fickle
As love, thy moods.
