বিরোধী কেবল সময়টার
অনাহারে ঘুরছে মানুষ,
রাজা ভরছে কোষাগার.

রাজা বড় যাদুকর গো
বশ করা তার খেলা
রাজার খেলা দেখতে আজ
জমেছে ভক্তদের মেলা.

রাজার খোলা সিন্দুক কি
কেবলই ছিল ফাঁদ?
ঢালছে মানুষ নিজ সম্বল
মেটাতে রাজার স্বাদ.

মন্দিরের বিরোধী নই গো
হতাশ কেবলই আমি
ইমারতের এই ছায়ার কাছে
আজ মানুষ কম দামী.

সভ্যতার ধ্বংসস্তূপের উপর
গড়ে ওঠা ইমারতের ছাদ.
পারবে তো মেটাতে ক্ষুধার জ্বালা?
নাকি হবে কেবল অহংকারের নিদর্শন,
ঘন্টাধ্বনির নীচে দমাবে দরিদ্রের আর্তনাদ?
প্রতীক্ষার ঘটবে অবসান, বিশ্বাস আছে
মিটবে রাজার স্বৈরাচারী শাসন.
