We live the lives we don't want to live.
We become the people we don't want to be.
We smile the same smile, but end up crying different tears.
We judge the book by its cover, fail to read between the lines.
We skip chapters and pages and wonder why we are not fine.
We smile at the unknown,
and ignore the known.
Afraid of reality, we hide behind our phones.
We hold on to what they say,
And silence our own thoughts.
We forgive their wrong,
We forget their bad
We call it love, and give another chance.
It's not just you, it's not just me,
The entire world is in a misery.
We are so busy being them
that now there is no US left in US.
