She gave into him, into the desire
Into the passion, the burning fire
She said she is his, his for the night
His to love, and his for a fight
She said she is his, his to adore
His to destroy, his to the core
It woke up a demon, dormant that laid
Like a predator, he pounced to invade.
With his lustfull gaze, peeling her layers
With fingers so firm, tugging her hairs
His movements so swift, and nerves engaged
His arms so tight, keeping her caged
He ravaged her being, with nothing to spare
He marked her as his, no other shall dare
Drawing her closer, until they were one
He roared again, for he wasn't done
He feasted on her, to his hearts desire
She gave into him, into his burning fire.

I vividly remember, the day I first saw you
You little eyes twinkling, my fingers you chew
You fit right into my hands, and snuggled up tight
I was beaming, but for you, it was a difficult night
You squeaked and wept, 'cause the place was new
I was learning my way, might've gone askew
It's been 10 years since, and your eyes still twinkle
With the spirits going strong, but your face starts to wrinkle
I complaint plenty, that with your tantrums you annoy
But my four legged baby, you've brought me nothing but joy

The days passed, and the years spent, and life came to a halt.
One day they just sat and touched, and every fibre felt the jolt.

Professions made, the story changed, then fiction became a lore.
As if someone unlocked a vault, the words started to pour.

Who once was a friend, a confidant, turned the page on her.
Swept her off the feet and said - He doth long to wed her.

For she was trapped for years on stretch, in a tower made of hurt.
Now a knight had come to save the day, for he was patient & curt.

He gave her courage and tools to fight, for the battle to be won.
As she came atop, all brave and proud, they rode into the sun.

Some people say - "Patience is a virtue".
Well, I'm here to say, that's so untrue!!

Let me share an instance, where I have no clue;
Why someone would pickup something, and not see it through.

Starting a conversation, with - Hello, how are you?
Then going MIA, here, Idk what to do.

Now you would feel conflicted, cause a revert is due.
You waited and waited, as the time flew.

Now that is a pet peeve, understood by a few.
Why someone would pickup something, and not see it through.

Her hands shriveled her lips trembled
And her eyes were a teary mess
Were they happy tears, was she breaking down
It was difficult for the others to guess

She jumped & danced & screamed & spinned
For her dream had come to life
Stressful days & sleepless nights
Now she could reap the results of her Strife

It's weird how 2 years have passed
And nothing yet seemed to change
Stressed out days & tiring nights
All she feels now is estranged

Once she was a Naive little girl
Who thought everything gets better
Ready to fight her battles on her own
But the ways of the world are tattered

She braves the scars of the battles lost
She wears them like a mantle
Though wounded, she'll get up and fight
She's a warrior, the world can't handle.

What has she been doing, what has she become
Instead of building up, she has come undone.

Being that one person , who wants to please all
She's down and she's broken, she's taken a huge fall.

She loves so hard, she's a dedicated friend
When it comes to herself, the pain just doesn't end.

She's keeping it all bottled, not letting a drop out
She's always so chirpy, you'd seldom see her pout.

Don't scrape the surface, don't you try to lift the mask
For she'll weep like a baby, if you as much as ask.

It consumes her to the core, each day she still gets up
She's tired of it all, she's so close to giving up.

THE GARDENER

She was a bit too wary
For she was planted in a new garden,
She was kinda windy
For she was left out to harden.
Then came the gardener
And he saw the petrified sapling,
He reached out and got her settled
As the fire started crackling.
He tended to her everyday,
With so much fervor, without fail.
She blossomed into a beautiful flower
From a sapling which was pale.
She bloomed and grew and thrived ever since
For she got the love and care
For that my friend you need a gardner,
The one she got was rare.

They say I've changed.
Well yes, I have.

I have changed in the sense
I've outgrown my cocoon,
I've spread my wings
I'm ready to fly off soon.

I've changed from being a glacier
Frozen in its path,
I've started flowing like a river
Ready to show her wrath.

I've changed from a sapling
That withers in the storms
I've built a trunk so thick,
That holds my roots strong

I've changed from the little girl
My parents used to coddle,
I've grown to be the women
Ready to support her role models.

Just because.....

Just because they aren't
A part of your life anymore,
You need not cast aside the memories
And need not shut the door.

Just because it didn't work
Doesn't mean you cease to care,
It only makes you human
And I guess, it's only fair.

Just because you could not make
All the dreams come true,
Relish in the fact that you lived it
Even if it went askew.
