A burning sensation,
bare feet
in a burning mid-day sun.

Not expecting 'the future'

Every new year cheats me by saying 'I'm new',
But I find it the same
As I find the every new friend as 'new'.

Riding from January to December
With all our loved once
What will be more beautiful than this,
When all are prospering
Unhindered by disease and death
What can be more soothing than this,
When the new year is such an animal
And we are the riders
What can be more pleasing than this.
