I was walking by the lane
All alone in a monsoon evening,
Dark clouds were approaching
And darkness clinged upon
Winds blew faster,
The petals of the bright flowers
Draped the road beneath
As if they were welcoming me
To a path unknown
I took a shelter in tea-stall,
All wet and cold
I asked the vendor for a tea,
And kept on complaining about
The unexpected rains
And suddenly, my eyes met
With a stranger's
And all of a sudden,
Silence wiped off all the noise
Time freezed
But he continued to walk towards me
And smiled at me,
So warm and bright,
He kept on admiring the beauty of rains,
Which I never acknowledged
The more he spoke, the more I melted
I didn't know, whether because of him I fell in love with rains or because of his words
But whatever it was, his words had an impact on me
May be unexpected rains aren't always bad,
Like the rains, love too,
Came to me,unexpectedly.
