My state of mind,
I am serene,
Glowing,
In ecstacy of life,
And close to Divine..

To that little girl,
Who learnt ages ago,
To give up the ease,
Of food and more,
To follow the rituals of that holy month,
It wasn't easy but sure was fun,
It was until dusk we couldn't eat,
But I kept drooling,
Over my grandmother's treat,
Those frying fritters,
That fragrant meals,
It was hard to resist,
No chance to appeal,
Now I see the new moon arrives,
With an end to Ramadan,
And I wish I could go back to my "nanijaan",
That nine year old self had no patience,
But back then she knew,
The true meaning of celebration..

- That girl is nostalgic now and wishing you all Eid Mubarak..

If I am silent,
I am probably thinking about life,
Within and outside,
Above and below,
In poise and distress,

But in honesty I confess,
Next moment,
I hold up,
Take a deep breath,
Look for a fashion video,
To ease out my stress..

Someone will always arrive before you,
Someone will always arrive later than you,
It is upto you to know that you shine at the perfect moment..

Not a moment before..
Not a moment later..

You can sit and look back,
At the life you have known,
Or do away with rules,
To build a world of your own..

I hope to see someday,
That life is looked as a journey,
Not something to pass or fail,
That good and evil,
Are two sides of the coin,
One can't exist without another,
Coz there is no perfect shrine,
Perfection can exist,
Where balance is preferred over sides,
Like ocean is beautiful,
Coz it has serenity along with tides..

It's great to have people around you who loves and appreciates you for who you are. Sharing those sweet memories and pulling you out of rut. But those who fucks with you, cracks a piece within you, kills something that you thought no one could touch, are the ones who shakes you to the core.

As much as you need the good ones in your life, you need the other side too.. Coz appreciation and kindness alone doesn't bring transformation..

Someone told me,
Not so long ago,
To breathe and let go,
Smile and welcome more,
To think beyond that color or creed,
To follow your heart,
To plant that seed,
I was told that my limit is in my mind,
That I am sublime,
I am Divine,
To never again doubt my skill,
As it is to shine, in time it will..
"I said these are words I keep listening to",
But never felt a thing or two"
Reply was simple but not disdain,
"It starts,
As you fall in love with yourself,
All over again.."

To define my quest,
Not sure if I say "complete",
Or a "work in progress"..

I have been a flower and a blade,
Been persuasive and dissuade,
I have lived on the edge,
And been safe too,
Only to explore,
Both sides of my truth,

With this knowing,
I take a moment of pride,
When I maintain the balance,
And scale never tips to either side..
