कोई कली या ग़ुलाब देना,
फिर कुछ अधूरे ख़्वाब देना,
ये लब मुस्कुराएंगे इस कदर,
चाहे तुम दर्द बेहिसाब देना।

देना खुला आसमॉं तारों भरा,
या बंदिश सी कोरी किताब देना,
उलझाऊं मैं जो अल्हड़ सवालों में,
तुम भी बेमाने से जवाब देना।

कोई कली या ग़ुलाब देना,
फिर कुछ अधूरे ख़्वाब देना।

यूॅं ही अक्सर तुम्हारी बातों से सोचते हैं,
मेरा ख़्याल तुम आख़िर कितना ही करते होगे?
मेरे अश़्कों पे जो दिल रुकता है तुम्हारा,
ख़ुद से सवाल तुम आख़िर कितना ही करते होगे?
तेरे हॅंसने की वजह में शामिल हम जो नहीं,
इसका मलाल तुम आख़िर कितना ही करते होगे?
तेरे छूने से सिहर जाते थे हम,
अब सोचते हैं मेरी हर अदा पे,
अपना इश़्क निहाल तुम आख़िर कितना ही करते होगे?
