With the taps of synchronised movements,
Came up an air of joy,
Just as we conversed,
Bringing back the memories,
All the scenes passed by..
The fun continued, from dusk till dawn,
With cups of chai beside a lawn
While the moments never ended,
Neither did the conversations,
We all bid adieu,
promising that we will resume,
With all the chapters that were due
Hoping that we unite once more,
To relieve those moments,
The same road, tapri and the same chai,
albeit different moments........

जब से तालीम को तरजीह दी,
वो तालीम ही हमको फर्जी देने लगे,
मर्ज़ी मांगी हमसे एक दफा,
फ़िर वो अपनी ही मर्ज़ी देने लगे,
उनसे की गुज़ारिश कि हमें तबाह ना करे,
वो हमे ही शांत रहने की अर्जी देने लगे....

उससे दूर होते देखा है,
उसकी यादों में खोते देखा है,
यकीन मानिए अपने गम में,
बिन मौसम असमां को भी रोते देखा है....

मैंने तुम्हारा ज़िक्र क्या किया,
चांद भी अब तुम्हारी ही बातें करता है....

अगर चाहने से कायनात मिल जाती है ए खुदा,
तो साथ एक शाम की ही चाहत है.....

जरुरत नही है बोतल भर जाम की,
तनहाई का एक घूंट ही काफी है...

is of moments now,
moments that lie within,
waiting for you to sink in,

with no starting and no end,
still jubilant with a friend,
along a road in the night,
where the moon founts light

Suddenly miles became meters,
and talks changed to conversations,
conversations that were something more,
oblivious to the lengths of the road

even as the time passed by,
They continue to spread joy,
all this within moments,
with taps of synchronised movements....

कैसे बयां करें कुछ बातों कों
कैसे समझाएं सभी हालातों को,
किसी कश्मकश मै उलझे हैं,
कैसे बयां करे यूं जज्बातों को

इस वक़त जिंदगी रुकी पड़ी है,
यूं ही किस्मत भी अडी है,
तंग है ऐसी जिंदगी से लेकिन,
जिंदगी ही अड़चन बनकर खड़ी है

सभी के जीवन हताश-से है,
सभी परिस्थितियों से निराश-से है,
अगर चारो और नज़र दौड़ाओगे,
तो सभी को आस ढूंढ़ते ही पाओगे,

सारा बोझ कब तक उठाओगे,
थोडा तो बांट ही पाओगे,
थोडा-सा प्रयास और करो,
घने होते अंधेरे से भी निकाल ही जाओगे

अपने दिमाग़ की मानने लगा हूं,
अब दूसरो को भी जानने लगा हूं,
दूर बैठे ही सही,
आंखो से ही लोगों को पहचानने लगा हूं
