When I feel that my life is being blown apart, I remember that I am wind.
When I feel like I'm about to be swept away by the waves, I remember that I am water.
When I feel that my life is like a fickle fault line, I remember that I am earth.
When I feel that my life is burning to the ground, I remember that I am fire.
When I feel confused at the mystery of life, I remember that I am ether.

There are people who are destined to hear your voice.

I demand what I deserve and I command what I observe.

As I learn to parent myself I will move away from needing security to creating security.

You can either light up the world or carry it. But, you can't do both.

One of the profound facets of community is that you exchange your vulnerability and weakness for the resources and strengths of others and conversely theirs for yours. It's an allowing and celebration of what it means to be human.

Finding the middle path, compromise, these are both commendable and wise. But, not if the compromise negatively impacts your self-esteem. If it has to come at the cost of your emotional well-being then it's control, not compromise. Recognize the difference and don't back down from what you require.

This moment is inevitable. The next moment is a million possibilities.

What other people call your end is the beginning of your reign. Dying to their desire to keep you in a box and coming alive into the adventures you long for is when you step into personal power.

Many think a spiritual life is a sanitized life. A life that is characterized by placidity. I'm not sure who sold us this lie. Gritty, not placidity, has been the hallmark of my spiritual path. While others sleep in ignorant bliss, I'm sounding the depths of the soul and trudging thru shadowlands. I'm an emotional cartographer. If you can identify with this, then you know there is nothing placid or clean about rarely being understood.
