At the coalescence of asphalt and dust,
they stopped by at the sole landfall of their journey - running at bristling pace.
The newly opened Cafe 'Beans and Leaf' -
rugged, yet brimmed with grace,
became their meeting-place.

She was a coffee lover.
He ran on sips of tea.
She spilled her beans.
He turned his book's leaves.
Two souls - utterly unlike
Bonded over caffeine.

Caffeinated talks familiarised her with
rural miseries,
And taught him urban idiosyncrasies.

They settled, they never returned.
Nomore they wait at bus-stops.
He devours coffee at dainty coffee-shops.
She enjoys her tea at bucolic tea-stalls.
With the intimacy they shared, they could have exchanged rings.
their story reached its terminus with exchange of caffeine-rings.
