in a universe filled
with debris of
Uncertainty.

things I'd not say.
Just look at me
acknowledging this.

With the unity
of my lips
my prayers arise,
in the birth of my Amen
my answers arrive.

It wasn't you,
It was a force;
It comes alive when
I see my source
of happiness.

I know of humanity
the tenets of kindness
breeds of love and compassion
I know of care;
Seeing beyond the limits of religion.
I know of hate,
It hides in the shadows of
Principles, morals and laws.
I speaks as if it's true.
But I know true isn't always truth.

When I was a child,
I wanted to be a mother.
When I was a child,
I dreamt of my glamorous wedding;
Papa leading me down the aisle to meet my knight.

When I was a child,
I dreamt of my own children;
Giving them names and feeding them milk-
Milk from the breasts I hadn't.

When I was a child,
I watched the mother hen tend to her chicks,
I wanted so much to be like her.
Every pace she made amazed me.

When I was a child,
I never knew what it would take
to land in the suture of my dream.
I only wanted to be a mother.
Even to a chicken.
