Crickets chirping
Birds are singing
Taking their turns
Each one chiming

Early morning
Around six am
Cars traveling
Even a van

The sun is about
To rise up high
Warm weather
Almost time to fry

7:30 am

Made a trip to
The laundromat
Wash some clothes
Then return back

Now eight thirty
Ten more minutes
Then I will be
All finished

I will return home
Fold my laundry
Put them away
And that is
The end of my story

Gasping as it impedes my need to breathe

Sitting out in the backyard having a smoke
Listening to music on the bluetooth speaker
I just finished having a weed toke
Take a puff and then flick the heater

Cars going by on the road up ahead
A motorcycle speeds past quickly
Revving of engines very loud
To each of their destinations respectively

Agony

Emotions flowing like rolling oceans
Feelings erupting like bullies disrupting
Creating problems like a pile of nonsense
Insecurity growing like storms blowing
Inconsistent ambition like broken transmissions
Insufficient decisions like mistaken incisions
Redundant choices like a story that's pointless
Useless remarks like an aggressive bark
Awkward behavior like a drunken sailor
Silent screaming like thoughts with no meaning
Broken performance like faulty ordnance
Wishful thinking to get me back ticking

Choices

I give in to the wind
I let it take me away
High above the ground
In the breeze I pray

I submit to the storm
It shows me the path
Crashing all around now
I collapse from it's wrath

I succumb to the ocean
I find solace in it's waves
Rolling and tumbling fierce
I don't think I can be saved

I am subdued by the sound
White noise has me frozen
Eerily as it overwhelms me
I am left alone and broken

I am overtaken by the speed
Swiftly it moves right past
Silently I watch as it roars
Dumbfounded as I'm surpassed

I am mistaken by my choice
Cringing as I regret it now

Early morning 2025 July 30

Quarter after five in the morning
I woke up early for some reason
I'm having a cigarette outside
Very nice in this summer season

Cars can be heard in the distance
A large machine is rumbling too
Perhaps over at one of the factories
Maybe I will start a coffee to brew

I'm in a t-shirt and shorts out here
I feel kind of chilly without a sweater
A nice change from the crazy heat
I could do without the hot forever

Maybe I will make some eggs soon
Scrambled is the way that I like them
I like butter and spices on my eggs
I give thanks to the beautiful hens

I'm getting a bit chilly sitting here
I think I will go back inside a bit
When it warms up a little bit later
I will return to this spot and sit

Questioning as I'm
Sitting down and thinking
Resting upon a seat
Drifting sounds of sinking
Inside my mind, it's playing a beat

Pestering in my
Head, thoughts in circles
Brain, caught in a web
Tangled, replaying in cycles
Between the ears, it rewinds each step

Deafening to me
Skull, sounds of cracking
Bones, weak and brittle
Breaking, senses are lacking
Overwhelmed, as I'm caught in the middle
