The heart burned, the soul burned, so the dreams scathed;
The smoke aroused in the vapid eyes, throughout the night!

Sleepless nights forlorn whining to the stars hopelessly; but,
The ogler moon grinned at yearnings, throughout the night!

Yondering through window, waves of dusk were seen unfurled;
And devout beseeched solitary fortune throughout the night!

O Bard! Polite talks, caressing sayings, courteous way of speaking;
All these ingredients flowed away in rain, throughout the night!
