When the suffering soul
of the God fearing and
righteous weeps while prostrating,
he is closest to Allah; perhaps
this is why those beloved of
Allah Almighty are made
to suffer to achieve
nearness to Him. For this is sure;
lovers of truth are more deserving
reward in the Hereafter than
the lovers of evil.

Those who live for
material benefits cannot
understand the workings
of the minds of those who
do not care for the pleasures
of this world. These trials
and tribulations give them
a spiritual strength that
gives immeasurable and
incalculable satisfaction. Their
tears seem to purify their souls,
wash away the impurities and
enlighten their hearts and minds.

Just because we didn't fit
into your definition of freedom,
it doesn't mean that we're oppressed.

THE STATE OF REPENTANCE
[(Imam Ibn ul Qayyim al Jawziyyah rahimahu Allahu)
Madaarij as-Saalikeen,
AlJumuah Magazine]

The state of repentance, tawbah, is at the beginning, the middle and the end of all states of submission to the will of Allah. The servant who seeks the pleasure of Allah never abandons tawbah. He remains in the state of tawbah until his death.

Whatever his state of belief, the servant makes tawbah his constant companion. Thus, tawbah is at the beginning and at the end of his servitude to his Creator. His need for tawbah at the end, just as at the beginning, overrides, and supersedes all other needs.

The First Four Children:

The pinnacle of earthly bliss was reached when Adam (alaihi salam) and Eve witnessed the birth of their first children, a set of twins. Adam (alaihi salam) was a devoted father and Eve a contented mother. The twins were Cain (Qabil) and his sister. Later Eve gave birth to a second set of twins, Abel (Habil) and his sister.

The family enjoyed the bounties and fruits of the earth provided by their Lord. The children grew up to be strong and healthy young adults. Cain tilled the land while Abel raised cattle.

This whole religion revolves around knowing the truth and acting by it, and action must be accompanied by patience.

A'ishah memorized the Qur'an as
did Hafsa, Umm salmah, Umm

Hind bint Aseed, Umm hisham
bin harithah, zaidah bint hayyan,
umm sa'ad bint sa'ad (رضى الله عنهن )
all knew portions of the
Qur'an by heart.

The latter used to regularly
lecture on the Qur'an.

In the sensitive interpretation of
the hadith, all were expert but
A'ishah and umm salmah
were exceptional masters of interpretation
and commentary. With the former,
2210 ahadith are associated and
378 with the latter.

From "Great women of Islam
who were given the good
news of paradise" by Mahmood
ahmad ghadanfar revised by Shaykh
safiur Rahman al mubarakpuri.

A man complained to Ibrāhīm b. Adham about (feeding) the number of children he had.

Ibrāhīm said to him: “Send me the ones amongst them whose provision is not from Allah.”

The man remained silent.

Ibn Kathīr, al-Bidāyah wa ʾl-Nihāyah 13/510

Once a Bedouin was asked about the evidence to Allah's existence, he responded,

All praise is due to Allah! The camel's dung testifies to the existence of the camel, and the track testifies to the fact that someone was walking. A sky that holds the giant stars, a land that has fairways and a sea that has waves, does not all of this testify that the Most Kind, Most Knowledgeable exists.

Tafsir ibn Kathir (Surah al baqarah ayat 22)
