‘Joy, We cannot proceed with a surgery on your mom, Your mother is already too weak and we cannot operate a surgery on someone who cannot survive it, if we do She won’t recover’
‘But doctor please go ahead with the surgery, if the surgery is not done…… ‘, silence took over me because I knew what no surgery means.
‘We can’t take this risk on her’
‘Please I beg you please operate on her, the rest is in god’s hands’, I pleaded touching doctor’s feet as tears rolled down the cheeks.
‘Joy,sorry we hope you understand’
My world turned upside down. I felt the weight of his words left me crushing irreparably torn and as hope slipped through my fingers I knew it was a battle I was fighting with life, one that I could never win.

In her final days, my mom wanted me to know how much she loved me. Despite her weak body and even though she could barely lift her hand, she would hold my hand knowing our time together was running out. When the doctors asked her can you recall and tell us , “Who is he?” she would say, “He is my son.” That small recognition meant everything to me.
She’d ask me if I had eaten and I would lie and say yes, but deep inside, my heart knew the truth — I couldn’t eat, couldn’t think of food with her in so much pain.
I would massage her feet, help her try to walk, but she couldn’t. Her eyes told me the pain was too much. And each time, the nurses would gently tell me I had to leave, following the hospital rules. I would promise I’d be back soon but those moments, small and simple, were everything between me and my mom. I knew I had a little time left with her.-
"Come to the ICU quickly,” the hospital staff urged.
He flew up the stairs, fear gripping his heart, and saw the doctor inside.
The doctor approached, his face clouded with sorrow. ‘We’re trying everything—cycles of CPR on your mom.’
Through the glass, he watched the nurses battling to bring her back.
His soul breaking, tears streaming down. ‘Please, God, don’t take her from me.’
Moments later, the doctor’s final words shattered his world, “she is no more”
He collapsed to the floor, his face buried in his hands, overwhelmed by grief. His body shook with silent sobs as the weight of the last few words sank in.

“Her vitals are normal now”, the doctor said gently, sensing the son’s worry.
“Doctor, can I see her?’’
“In a few minutes—she’s eating now,’’ the doctor replied.
Outside the ICU, he waited quietly, his silent prayers were all he had left.-
‘Doctor, she’s going to be okay, right?’ the son asked, his voice filled with worry.
‘She’s stable, but we need to wait for her to fully respond,’ the doctor replied, his eyes scanning the reports.
‘Maa, you’ll get better soon,’ he whispered, his heart aching as he tenderly caressed her hair."

"Mom, we're here for you. Please don't worry," he said, tears streaming down his face, pain in his voice.
"I know you'll always be with me," she whispered , her eyes gently closed as she fell asleep in the hospital bed.-
The one who couldnot care you in your bad health day doesnot deserve your love anymore.

Humanity is defined by the helping hands you see coming forward, not the words that has no reflection of its actions.
