I thought you were my yellow
The colour that soothed me always
Sorted into the shade everywhere..
When I was lonely, you were there!
But, then you lost the hue..
Showed the true colour,
And made me lose my trust in the pallete,
Whichever consisted yellow
You've made me hate it forever!

There were days,
When I called you my Solace
I was blinded by lies
That appeared so real!
I discarded the light
And embraced the darkness.
I smiled in the dark, sightless.
Until today!
I've known what is light, as it unfolded
The wounds I haven’t felt,
the deep scars that were left!

It is just one bad day
It doesn't decide your worth !
The world is an illusion that convinces you to think you're a failure,
But, you need to be firm and sure,
And you'll be able to cross this barrier
No matter what
Never give up on yourself !

The safety felt assuring
But, it was short-lived.
The roaring river, flowing downstream,
Never seemed to calm down
The log I lied on to take a breath,
Did give me a moment to muse!
But, I had to rush again
and fight the current
With just one thought in mind
It will calm down,
and I'll reach the land.
